Bukittinggi, Friday, June 28, 2024 – The Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business at UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi held a Field Visitation for the Accreditation of the Hajj and Umrah Management Undergraduate Program from June 28 to 29, 2024. This visitation took place in the Auditorium of the Rectorate on the 3rd floor, attended by assessors from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
This visitation brought in two BAN-PT assessors: Dr. Suqiyah Musafa’ah from UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya and Dr. Eficandra from UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar.
The Dean of FEBI UIN Bukittinggi, Dr. Hesi Eka Puteri, in her opening remarks, expressed gratitude to BAN-PT for their willingness to conduct the field visitation at UIN Bukittinggi. She also appreciated the hard work of the task force of the Hajj and Umrah Management Undergraduate Program in preparing for this visitation.
“We are very grateful for the arrival of the BAN-PT assessment team. We hope this visitation will provide constructive input to improve the quality of the Hajj and Umrah Management Undergraduate Program. We are ready to receive suggestions and criticisms for our mutual advancement,” she said.

The event was officially opened by the Rector of UIN Bukittinggi, Prof. Ridha Ahida. “This visitation is a crucial moment for us to demonstrate UIN Bukittinggi’s commitment to providing quality education. We are determined to continuously improve the quality of education and services to students because good accreditation is our responsibility to stakeholders and the public,” the Rector stated.
The event continued with an assessment session by the assessor team. In her introduction, Suqiyah Musafa’ah stated that the purpose of this visitation was to verify the data submitted by the Hajj and Umrah Management Undergraduate Program in the accreditation report. “We want to see firsthand how the Hajj and Umrah Management Undergraduate Program conducts the learning process, research, and community service. Our hope is to carry out this assessment objectively and transparently to help this program achieve the quality standards set by BAN-PT,” said Suqiyah.

Meanwhile, Eficandra from UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar added, “This visitation is not only for assessment but also an opportunity for dialogue and experience sharing for the betterment and development of the program,” he added.
This visitation is expected to provide a clearer picture of the quality of the Hajj and Umrah Management Undergraduate Program at UIN Bukittinggi to BAN-PT. The results of this visitation will be one of the considerations for BAN-PT in determining the accreditation ranking of the Hajj and Umrah Management Program at UIN Bukittinggi.
